Infinite Hat's
Shattered Wrath

News

The Shattered Wrath engine is being slowly rewritten (slowly because school is taking a lot of time!), to add the additional features we had wanted to for the class but didn't have time to.
We're also rewriting most of the code, and intend to redo the Lua scripts to be cleaner, as there are things we have learned since our first shot at the engine!

About the game

Shattered Wrath is a class project RPG inspired by older (SNES-era) JRPGs.
The story is about Marcus - A freelancer, thief, brigand, whatever makes him the most money at the time.
Marcus is hired by a man name Fredrick to take down two powerful men in various areas of Cinnaka City, but it turns out to be more difficult than he had thought...

Newer version:

We will eventually redraw all of the graphics!
This new version runs at 1024x768, so our sprites and tiles will be higher resolution!

Final Class Iteration 46.9 MB
This version is sort of a "tech demo"; certain things we had wanted to implement weren't due to lack of time, so the game consists of one main room (although you can explore other areas using Debug mode) with NPCs to talk to and battle.
This version is closed source!

As this game is for a class about software design, structure and planning, we have lots of documents prepared as part of our planning process.

Team reflections

"We wanted to add a lot into the game, but it turns out we didn't have the time. We probably could have got everything done had Software Engineering been our only class.
Right now we're working on fixing up the engine and scripting to get the demo complete like we had originally planned."
